Just trying to keep up with my progternative lifestyle, yall.

I was not surprised to find at casey's post/rock/pop/crazie/melodic/cute/alternative band's (the beekeepers) halloween show with other indie/punk/disco/zany/post-epic-rock/alternative/prog/stoner/folk/rock bands last night that 'the joker' was the hit costume this year.

when i arrived, the only familiar face in the crowd & on stage was (10 things I hate about) joker in the band on stage. soon, that turned into all six members of the alt-disco-epic band jokified. I had enough of that chicken-shit, so I went over to a bar down the street to meet up with the steve zissous (bkprs) (h8 the smurfs).

i explained to them the joker situation, and exaggerated a little bit, saying that pretty much everyone in the show was joker. turns out, I was right. by the time we returned.... everyone was joker. in case you didnt know, smearing red lipstick all over your face like a 13-year old prostitute is the new 'holy crap i dont know what to do for halloween this year, plus patrick batman was kinda neato, but heath was epic-prog in 'the dark nights', get out of jail free card. by the end of the show, I counted a good dozen++ jokers. I also heard reports of many other heath zombies crawling around town last night.



would the joker have been as much of an epic/alternative hit if heath was still alive? I mean, it's like the patrick batman movie was labeled as the epic/progressive action movie of the year because he was SO INTENSE. he was good, but what about the others???

point being: so many thought they would be sooo crazy and different by being the jokester for halloweeners, but really they all stand together in a stale/douche/common/old stereotype of the mainstream culture turned alt-prog - forever trying to become 'different' and 'cool' while somehow managing to ruin everything and anything that has been, is or will be cool. you know what they say about this, so i dont even need to say it.
