It is tradition at the Puncochar/Hildestad Easter Luncheon to have a Easter Egg hunt. We choose to take the 21st century approach and use the plastic eggs (of varies colors, sizes and shapes collected over the years). They are hidden around the house by my mother, and then all children run amock collecting as many as they can in plastic grocery bags. Usually they are filled with different types of candy, and the occasionally pennies and nickels. Seeing that "children" now applies to a bunch of 15+ year olds (up to 23!) the candy isn't always the greatest motivator. Its lost its flair.
This year however, this year money was at stake. My mother decided to put $1's, $5's and $10's into the 121 eggs hidden in every room, and shall we say, "It was on." We couldn't have been more excited to storm around the house, overturning any and every object in order to "show us the money." It was a good move.
