CENTRAL AVE. NE MPLS

driving back from breakfast, we were cut off across two lanes by some crazed woman who obviously couldn't remember where she needed to turn. if you ever drive down Central Ave, you too will realize the importance of passing your driver's test, and/or, having a valid driver's license...scratch that, just make sure you have insurance.

this reminded me of a night driving back home when i encountered our somalian paraplegic neighbor Moses, in the middle of Central Ave. nowhere near an intersection. yelling at something.
Moses is as South Central as we get. Moses asks us for money. Moses gets arrested for being drunk and loud on the street out in front of our house. Moses is a gangster ass paraplegic.
Driving down Central ave, i slammed on my breaks, cause Moses was in the MIDDLE of the street. Black dude, in a black wheel chair, wearing camo, in the middle of the street nowhere near a street light. it all happened so fast, i dont remember how much time passed, but there i was stopped, cars flying by me, cars beeping at me from behind, with Moses 30 feet ahead yelling. Moses keeps moving further into the street, from the left lane into in the right lane, still yelling. i turned as a Bus full speed flies on the shoulder, right by both lanes of stopped traffic, and Moses in front of  us all. Moses is yelling "hey motherf***er!" at the bus. but its obvious the bus isn't going to stop in the middle of the road, that would be ridiculous.
right at that moment, while i had room to drive by Moses, he turns and recognizes my car from the neighborhood. as i'm accelerating, Moses starts yelling with a different tone "hey, hey you!"
i sped past Moses, ignoring everything i've ever known about helping those in need. Cause under the fear that somehow, if i would have given him a ride, with wheelchair in my trunk, Moses would have robbed me and stolen my car.
