I want to see the world in three dimensions.

In recent weeks, I have had increased interest in 3D. Most specifically the creation of Anaglyph images — bringing two dimensions into three.

The other day I stumbled across Bjork's 'Wanderlust' video. I can't stop watching it. It was apparently produced for [anaglyph] 3D. Watching it in 2D makes me want to fly to the moon. I can't imagine what it will do to my brain when I watch it in 3D.

A few weeks ago I proclaimed to some friends that "I wish I saw the world in 3D." I quickly acknowledged the ridiculousness of the statement — I didn't mean it literally. But, for some reason, there is something spectacular about putting on glasses and seeing flat things pop out in front of you. You don't get that sort of reaction seeing real life everyday, but is there something more than what we see?

Brian Greene explains the possibility of there being more than three dimensions — non-existent to what we can see/touch/feel. I wonder, if all we need to do to bring 2 dimensions into 3 is put on some goofy glasses, how do we get to the 6th or the 11th dimensions? Drugs? Maybe so, but a better question is do we even exist in dimensions beyond what we currently see? Most likely it is something we will never know.

I just watched the Bjork video for the 5th time in a row, and it is more clear than ever that she gets this more than most. She is outrageous. Maybe the answer is Iceland? Bizarro.

I'm going.

Space just is. And is forever. Period.

When you place things into a time capsule, you intend to save the contents for a future time or generation to discover them. Untouched, and timeless. Some things just are. They are just there, for a reason.

Like these Potato Chips:

Almost three years ago now one of the house's favorite people in the world, Nick Krogman, gave the new house a gift. Two industrial-sized boxes of Old Dutch rippled potato chips. They were quickly placed in the cupboard next to the sink as things got organized. So today, I was searching through the kitchen to find a container to hold the kool aid man, and I discovered the potato chips, covered in dust, in the same place as they were originally placed 3 years ago.

I give you the kitchen time capsule:

Now, jake initially responded with "I bet those are still good" as he started to open one of the boxes. I quickly stopped him. What was he thinking? These potato chips are an important part of this house's history. They were there at the beginning. When the foundation of this house was sealed in! Those chips play a sentimental role in the existence of this very blog! Jake Airs Michel was going to start munching away like they were any old pack of ruffles with his snack-pack-attack snacks. Rest assured, the chips are still safe, unopened. Jake came to his senses quick and realized their importance.

I would also like to make a sub-note, and consider the other items sealed away in the time capsule. They certainly have not put in as much time, or hold nearly the same value that the chips do, but they too are certainly bound to be forgotten in time to the secrets of the kitchen time capsule. Here's to you, grape jelly, minute rice, plastic popcorn containers and half-full box of spaghetti!

Get in the Delorean. Let's go for a ride.

Doc Brown is smart. After all, he invented the dolorean. But can I be honest? The dolorean doesn't really exist — only in Hollywood.

But this does:

What is this? Oh, it's just a fucking time machine. At least it's part of it, because it runs in a circle, 27 Kilomenters in circumference, 175 Km underground, I can't show you all of that in a picture. You can't build this overnight, or in Hollywood for that matter. In fact, it's been in the making for 20 years, including a team of over 7,000 scientists and physicists from over 80 countries.

"The most complicated thing that humans have ever built"

Really? So this is where it gets fucking nerdy.

They aren't exactly sure what is going to happen (the big picture) once turned on. Some possibilities are: Time Travel in its most basic form (possible), the end of the world (not so likely), the distortion of cosmic plasma to big bang conditions - a million times hotter than the sun's core (definitely).

The power of this machine (I think its a little more than that, but what else do you call it - They call it a Large Hadron Collider, but that means nothing to you and me) has the capability of bending space and time. This does not mean time travel - only maybes. This fucking blows my mind. 20 years, 7,000 of the worlds smartest people, all for a bunch for a bunch of tubes miles underground that might be able to move matter from the past to the present. Slightly.

Come with me. Let us all travel from the past, to the present. and beyond. Just like Doc Brown.

and then come back and read this article.

Don't Ever Apologize For Sending Mars.

I will be traveling through space before I die. But to hold me off until then, I have Google Sky Space. Space is an incredible thing. Anything can exist or happen, because you can't prove that it doesn't. and it blows my mind.

Google is also well on its way to mapping the fuck out of the moon and mars. Stunning.
